Airbus is upgrading the Federal Public Security Secretariat’s TETRA network in Mexico City. Besides significant hardware and software upgrades with the latest TETRA server and management system, Airbus will also renew and increase the number of dispatch positions and enhance network coverage. The contract also includes the replacement of existing radios with new devices, as well as technical support and maintenance service.
The network will secure an area of about 1,500 square kilometers with a population of nearly 9 million inhabitants, which makes it one of the densest metropolitan areas in the world.
